kotov syndrome

So, I just got back.

It was an overall lovely trip. I can’t say much now, because I don’t know if mum will burst in and tell me to sleep soon. But I had fun, met Eiko and watched Wicked (absolutely amazing). But today, after taking a taxi back to the hotel to collect the bags to board the bus home, I had left my mobile behind. I suspect it’s the taxi and not the MRT because I remember it being with me then, and if it fell out of my pockets I would’ve heard it due to the nature of the MRT seats.

So I’ve basically spent the past 5-6 hours commute home with my mum harping on about how stupid I am (I swear, if I had a dime for every time she called me this tonight alone—) and how I had intentionally (really) left it behind just to upset her. She’s also been repeating ‘you’ve ruined the entire trip’ like a mantra, and it’s really quite hypocritical that she’s saying this.

I’m not saying that it’s not a stupid thing to do; it is. I’m pretty upset about the matter as well (my phone had notes, notes I can’t get back, and my schedule in it and I’m pretty sure a good number of contacts in it weren’t backed up), but the whole….fuss my mother is making is…well.

She’s also saying (since it’s related to the whole matter) that I’m still a baby that can’t take care of myself. And she makes it sound as if I haven’t been taking care of where we’re going and what train lines to take or my overall effort in taking in some of the work involved for the trip. So, I dunno, I’m kind of miffed about that.

She refuses to get me a replacement (even a cheap one) and has told me to not even ask my brothers for help on the matter. She’s also taken my camera. ‘says to ask my dad to buy me things because as far as she’s concerned, if I lose the things he gives me, she doesn’t give a shit.

In other news, Eiko gave me the sign she and her waifu made.

It’s wonderful.
